One of the techniques of cerakote we use here at Custom Tactical Innovations is battle wear.  There are many advantages to this technique and we will go over a few of them. First lets state the obvious about the battle wear cerakote it just looks awesome! Battle wear gives you that look of your gun has been put to the test and is still rolling with what ever custom battle wear design you pick.   Now some of the more practical advantages to battle wear cerakote is that if you carry the firearm you have cerakoted in battle wear or run it in competitions, something where it will get natural holster wear, once it starts to wear your not gonna really be able to tell, it is going to just blend in with your all ready awesome battle wear design.  The next advantage goes hand in hand with the holster wear.  The way we do our battle wear cerakote here at Custom Tactical Innovations everything you see on your firearm that you requested be cerakoted in battle wear, whether it be a pistol, shotgun, Ar, or bolt action is 100% covered in cerakote.  So as you get some natural wear on your firearm that color underneath let's just say black that is coming through is still cerakote so your not losing your cerakote protection.  Our technique here unlike some places that just scratch off some cerakote to give it a worn look, we go the extra step and do two layers.  We start with what ever color you want to bleed through and do a full coat, then flash cure it.  Next we do a light coat of the main color you want your firearm to be then flash cure it again. Then we get a clean rag and soak it with acetone and start wiping off that top layer on the ridges to let the bottom color bleed through to give it tat natural wear look so you still have all your cerakote coverage.  Then the final step is the final bake out at 2 hours. The last advantage I want to talk about with battle wear cerakote is the cost for the extra coverage. Custom Tactical Innovations charges $20 for each additional color on a project so your battle wear will only cost you an extra $20 for an amazing custom look, and extra cerakote protection.  We don't believe in over charging our customers for every little thing here at CTI, we want you to be able to get your custom firearm work done at a high quality level and not have to break the bank.  We always suggest the battle wear cerakote to our customers for their carry guns because you really do get a lot of bang for your buck with this cerakote option.
